Agricultural training initiatives launched in Formosa and Chubut

Various agricultural training initiatives are underway in Argentina to strengthen regional productive capacities. In Formosa, the CEDEVA center, in coordination with the El Chorro municipality, organized a training session for over 30 local and indigenous producers. The program focused on goat production management and the use of prickly pear as an alternative forage resource for the western Formosa region. Goat farming is a significant economic activity in the Ramón Lista Department, which holds the third-largest goat stock in the province.

In Chubut, a regional beekeeping initiation course has launched with approximately 70 enrollees. The program is a collaborative effort between the Municipality of Sarmiento, the Chubut Ministry of Production, INTA, and APASAR. The course has attracted participants from several locations, including Sarmiento, Río Mayo, Comodoro Rivadavia, and the province of Santa Cruz, aiming to support new entrepreneurs and strengthen the regional apiculture sector.
