Agricultural women hold networking and educational events in Bavaria and Tyrol
Female farmers in Bavaria and Tyrol are conducting initiatives to promote agricultural awareness and professional networking. In Bavaria, the Bavarian Farmers' Association hosted the second annual Day of Agricultural Entrepreneurs in the Altmühltal region. Approximately 50 women from across the state attended the event, which focused on networking and visibility for female entrepreneurs. The program included workshops and a session with Michaela Kaniber, the State Minister for Food, Agriculture, Forestry, and Tourism.
In Tyrol, over 300 female farmers are participating in educational outreach programs coinciding with World Rural Women's Day and World Food Day. These farmers are visiting primary schools across all districts to provide children with practical insights into local food production, sustainable consumption, and the diversity of modern farming. The initiative aims to reach approximately 6,500 children across 359 classes, covering various sectors such as livestock, crop cultivation, and forestry.
