Local infrastructure and participatory budgeting initiatives across Poland

Various local government initiatives and infrastructure projects are underway across Poland. In the Mazovia region, the 7th edition of the Participatory Budget is currently open for voting, with 30 million PLN available for residents to allocate to community projects, including proposals in Kozienice.

In Łódź, construction of a technical chamber for the High-Speed Rail (KDP) is progressing on Aleja Bandurskiego, necessitating local traffic adjustments. Other regional developments include road renovations in Krosno and Łowicz, water and sewage infrastructure improvements in Zielonki, and the revitalization of the city park in Lwówek Śląski.

Several municipalities are also conducting participatory budgeting processes. Gniezno is preparing to vote on 14 projects for 2027, ranging from elderly care services to new public fitness zones. In Wasilków, residents have until August 31 to submit ideas for the 2027 budget, while Bydgoszcz is moving forward with a new dog park project selected by its citizens.
