Agriculture Minister Andi Amran Sulaiman tops cabinet performance index

Indonesian Minister of Agriculture Andi Amran Sulaiman has achieved the highest performance score among ministers in the Merah Putih Cabinet, according to the September 2026 Government Performance Assessment released by IndexPolitica Indonesia. Amran earned a score of 91, placing him ahead of Minister of Investment and Downstreaming Rosan Perkasa Roeslani (89), Minister of Finance Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa (87), Minister of Primary and Secondary Education Abdul Mu'ti (86), and Minister of Health Budi Gunadi Sadikin (85).

The assessment utilized an Evidence-Based Government Performance Evaluation method through Multi-Criteria Decision Analysis, rather than public opinion polls. The evaluation was based on official government documents and sectoral statistics across six dimensions, including policy output, policy outcome, implementation effectiveness, public and economic impact, policy innovation, and intergovernmental coordination.

Representatives from PP KAMMI noted that the results reflect concrete achievements in the agricultural sector, such as increased production and support for fertilizer and grain prices. They highlighted that Indonesia's rice production reached 60.21 million tons of milled dried grain in 2025.
