Agriculture Minister provides aid to families of fallen Papua officials

Indonesian Minister of Agriculture Andi Amran Sulaiman met with the families of three agricultural officials from the Jayawijaya Regency who died while performing duties in the remote Papua Pegunungan region. The officials, identified as Afrida Rapi, Alfonsius Albinus Mehan, and Willy Mbuik, were delivering food supplies to remote areas when they lost their lives.

To support the bereaved families, the Ministry of Agriculture is providing educational scholarships of Rp50 million for each child of the deceased. The Minister stated that the total support provided to each family reaches Rp300 million, intended to be used as savings to ensure the children can continue their education to higher levels. Additionally, one family member from each victim will be offered employment opportunities at Perum Bulog to assist with the family's economic stability.
