Agrigento honors Ezio D’Errico by dedicating Circolo dei Nobili salon

The Circolo dei Nobili in Agrigento is dedicating its historic salon to Ezio D’Errico, a multifaceted figure of 20th-century Italian culture. D’Errico, who lived from 1892 to 1972, was a writer, playwright, and painter known for his mystery novels and theatrical works.

The dedication will be marked by the unveiling of a commemorative plaque during a public meeting on Friday, November 6. Beniamino Biondi, a local scholar and writer, will present the life and work of D’Errico. Biondi has been instrumental in the rediscovery of the artist’s legacy, including the re-edition of literary works such as the novel “Qualcuno ha bussato alla porta”.

D’Errico’s career included publishing with Mondadori and having plays performed internationally, though his work faced a period of obscurity following his death. This initiative aims to restore his recognized place within Italian literature and theater.
