Agrigento police penalize drivers evading ZTL restrictions

Local police in Agrigento have launched enforcement actions against motorists attempting to evade Limited Traffic Zone (ZTL) restrictions. Investigations revealed that some drivers attempted to avoid ZTL checkpoints by reversing their vehicles, while others engaged in dangerous maneuvers by driving against the flow of traffic along Via Atenea and Porta di Ponte toward Piazza Aldo Moro.

Authorities have identified and sanctioned several drivers, issuing fines of approximately 300 euros and deducting four points from driving licenses. In at least one instance, a driver's license was confiscated. Police are currently using surveillance camera footage to identify additional motorists who may have committed similar violations during the day or evening.
