Agrigento to host 46th SIPAV Sicily Regional Congress

The city of Agrigento is set to host the 46th Regional Congress of the Italian Society of Angiology and Vascular Pathology (SIPAV) Sicily. Scheduled for September 25 and 26, 2026, at the Hotel Della Valle, the event will bring together specialists in cardiology, internal medicine, rheumatology, vascular surgery, and general medicine from across the region.

The scientific program focuses on recent biomedical and clinical research, specifically addressing cardiovascular and circulatory diseases, which are primary causes of morbidity in the Western world. Key topics include pharmacological and interventional frontiers to reduce risks of myocardial infarction and stroke, as well as endovascular and minimally invasive surgical techniques.

Sessions will cover the links between inflammation, obesity, and metabolism, vascular complications in diabetic patients, and integrated therapies for chronic venous disease and lipedema. Additionally, a joint session with FADOI and SIMI Sicilia will address antithrombotic therapy for fragile patients, including those with cancer or cirrhosis.
