Agrigento tree collapse damages vehicles and blocks road

A large tree collapsed on via Alcide De Gasperi in Agrigento on Monday evening, August 31. The incident occurred near the former Sip field area, specifically close to a carpet shop, causing significant obstruction to the roadway.

Several parked vehicles were damaged by the trunk and branches, while other cars were trapped by the debris. Firefighters were dispatched to secure the area and begin removal operations. While the road remains partially blocked and traffic is being managed by operators, no injuries have been reported. The cause of the sudden collapse is currently under investigation.
