Agrigento venue manager sanctioned for unannounced political event

The Digos division of the State Police has issued an administrative sanction against the manager of a venue in central Agrigento for hosting a political event without prior notification to the authorities.

The investigation, conducted approximately three months after the event took place, determined that the venue failed to comply with Article 18 of the Consolidated Law on Public Safety (TULPS). This regulation requires organizers to provide written notice to the Questore at least three days before holding a meeting or demonstration in a public or open-to-the-public space.

The event in question featured socio-political discussions and entertainment. Authorities clarified that the violation pertains specifically to the failure to meet mandatory communication requirements rather than the content of the political discussions themselves.
