Agrigento water shortage prompts CNA call for long‑term solutions

The CNA Territoriale di Agrigento says the province is facing a water emergency despite a rainy winter, with limited water deliveries and slow tanker service that leaves businesses waiting for days.

The shortage has forced many firms to reduce working days, abandon orders and risk employee layoffs. CNA leaders Francesco Di Natale, Claudio Spoto and Lillo Abbate urged authorities to adopt structural, long‑term measures instead of temporary fixes, and said the organisation will keep monitoring the situation and is prepared to act to protect the local economy.
