Agriinio Social Care Center begins 15th year of free education

The 'Saint John the Brakeritis' Social Care Center in Agriinio has commenced its 15th consecutive year of operation. Organized by the Agios Dimitrios Church of Agriinio under the Holy Metropolis of Aetolia and Acarnania, the institution provides free educational support to students and families in the region.

This year, the center serves 132 students with the assistance of 27 volunteer teachers. Lessons are available for all middle and high school grades, with specialized tracks tailored to student needs. The program has successfully helped students gain admission to various fields, including informatics, pedagogy, philology, and the Hellenic Police.

In a symbolic gesture of continuity, two teachers who were former students of the center have returned this year to serve as volunteer instructors. The new academic year began with a blessing ceremony at the 2nd and 6th Middle School of Agriinio, led by Protopresbyter Konstantinos Kantanis.
