Agrinio and Thermos Municipalities launch campaign against violence against women

The Municipalities of Agrinio and Thermos co-organized an awareness campaign titled ‘Light on Invisible Violence’ to combat violence against women. Held on August 17, 2026, at the Thermos Town Hall, the event was part of the cultural celebrations for Saint Kosmas of Aetolia.

The initiative featured a photographic exhibition from the Agrinio Women's Hospitality Hostel, designed to highlight various forms of gender-based violence and promote prevention and social awareness. The event facilitated dialogue regarding equality, respect, and the protection of women.

Georgia Boka, Deputy Mayor of Agrinio, emphasized that preventing and addressing violence against women requires cooperation and a steady social presence, stating that when municipalities unite for a common goal, the message becomes stronger.
