Agrinio hosts road safety educational program for children

An educational initiative focused on road safety and life protection was held on October 31, 2026, at the New Holy Church of Agios Christoforos in Agrinio. The event was organized through a collaboration between the local parish and the association My Grand Road.

More than 100 children from local catechism schools and the surrounding area participated in the program. Through interactive and experiential activities, the children learned essential traffic rules, including safe street crossing, recognizing traffic signals, proper bicycle use, and the importance of seatbelts and child safety seats.

The program featured contributions from local law enforcement, including Officer Dimitrios Rousis from the Agrinio Traffic Department and officer Sotiris Giannopoulos, a volunteer for My Grand Road. The initiative aimed to foster responsible behavior on the road among pedestrians, cyclists, and passengers.
