Agrinio International Choir Festival returns for 7th edition

The 7th Agrinio International Choir Festival is scheduled to take place on October 2 and 3, 2026, at the Anesis Cinema in Agrinio, Greece. Organized by the Agia Skepi Spiritual Cultural Association in collaboration with the Municipality of Agrinio and the Regional Union of Municipalities of Western Greece, the event operates under the auspices of the Greek Ministries of Culture and Tourism.

The festival features approximately 25 to 27 choirs, involving nearly 800 participants including singers, musicians, and conductors. Participating groups represent various Greek regions such as Thessaloniki, Kozani, Larissa, Patras, and Evia, as well as international Italian-speaking and French-speaking choirs.

Due to a shortage of available local accommodation, three choir participations were canceled, forcing some participants to stay in nearby areas such as Thermo, Messolonghi, and Amfilochia. The festival also serves a social purpose by supporting the 'FLOGA' Association, which assists parents of children with neoplastic diseases.
