Agrinio merchants meet with PASOK officials to discuss local market crisis

The Association of Merchants and Entrepreneurs of the Municipality of Agrinio (SEEDA) met with PASOK spokesperson Kostas Tsoukalas and MP Christina Staraka to discuss the critical state of the local market.

During the meeting, SEEDA representatives presented the challenges facing commercial businesses, including a continuous decline in turnover, rising operating costs, and a lack of liquidity. They specifically highlighted the impact of large Asian e-commerce platforms on local trade and the issue of vacant ground-floor properties.

The association also raised several policy demands, such as the regulation of overdue debts through favorable 120-installment terms, the establishment of non-seizable professional accounts, and reforms to the taxation system and the framework for discounts and offers.
