Agrinio Municipality opens damage claims following severe hail

The Municipality of Agrinio has initiated the process for recording and assessing damages caused by severe weather and hail on September 3, 2026. Citizens, businesses, and agricultural holdings affected by the storm can submit applications for damage assessment through the municipality’s Central Protocol or the Civil Protection Department via email.

Specific procedures are in place depending on the type of damage. For residential damage, dedicated application forms must be completed. For businesses and agricultural holdings, different forms are required based on the legal structure of the entity. These applications are forwarded to the Regional Coordinator of State Aid for the Aetolia-Acarnania regional unit.

In cases where damage is exclusively limited to crops, affected parties must contact ELGA (Hellenic Agricultural Insurance Organization) following their established procedures. If damage affects multiple categories, such as both crops and fixed assets or equipment, this must be clearly stated in the application to ensure the correct administrative process is followed.
