Agrinio to host colorectal cancer prevention seminar

A scientific informative event regarding the prevention of colorectal cancer is scheduled to take place in Agrinio on Wednesday, September 16, 2026. The event will be held at 19:30 in the Agrinio Municipal Council hall.

The seminar is organized by the Institute of Digestive System Studies (IMEPES) and the Gastroenterology Department of the University General Hospital of Patras, in collaboration with the Medical Association of Agrinio. The initiative is held under the auspices of the Directorate of Social Protection and Public Health of the Municipality of Agrinio.

The primary objective is to provide accurate information and raise public awareness about the importance of prevention, symptomatic screening, and early diagnosis of colorectal cancer, with specific focus on risk factors and available preventive examinations.
