Agriturismo Monte Sereo overcomes digital divide with Starlink and FRITZ

Agriturismo Monte Sereo, located in Bastia di Rovolon within the Colli Euganei Regional Park, has successfully addressed the digital divide affecting rural Italian areas. Due to the complex volcanic terrain and thick walls of its late 18th-century structure, traditional fiber optic and FWA connections were insufficient to provide reliable service.

The facility implemented a hybrid technological solution using Starlink to provide internet access and the FRITZ! ecosystem—including routers, Mesh networks, repeaters, and Powerline technology—to distribute the signal throughout the property. This connectivity supports both guest needs, such as streaming and electronic payments, and operational requirements like administration, video surveillance, and IoT sensors for precision agriculture.
