Agrobank and BHPetrol partner to fund rural fuel station operators

Agrobank and Boustead Petroleum Marketing Sdn Bhd (BHPetrol) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to expand financing access for fuel station operators, particularly in rural and agricultural economic zones.

The collaboration aims to strengthen the BHPetrol operator ecosystem through Dealer Owned Dealer Operated (DODO) and Company Owned Dealer Operated (CODO) models. Financing options include working capital, capital expansion, and support for establishing new fuel stations.

Beyond financial aid, the partnership includes entrepreneurship development through training in financial management, marketing, and business expansion. Agrobank will also support the digitalization of business operations and payment processes. The initiative is intended to empower rural communities, including farmers, planters, livestock breeders, and fishermen, by providing comprehensive and Shariah-compliant financing solutions.
