Agropoli hosts Italian Cadetti Athletics Championships

The Italian Cadetti Championships were held on October 3 and 4 at the Stadio Comunale ‘R. Guariglia’ in Agropoli, featuring 886 young athletes from 21 regional delegations.

Philippe Vannucchi of the Tuscany delegation won the gold medal in the 1200m steeplechase with a time of 3’19”96. He was followed by Marco Giuressi in second place and Giordano Baccani in third. Vannucchi’s performance helped the Tuscany region secure sixth place in the combined regional standings.

Other notable individual performances included Antonia Franza of Running Club Napoli, who earned a silver medal in the 80m hurdles with a time of 11”61. Additionally, Luigi Giannotti of Caivano Runner secured a bronze medal in the 2000m event, marking his sixth consecutive personal best in that distance.
