AGROREG President responds to parliamentary inquiry over flood relief loans

Rafał Wielichowski, President of ARR AGROREG S.A., has responded to an ongoing parliamentary investigation regarding the company’s distribution of flood relief funds. Wielichowski stated that the company has issued 34 loans totaling 35 million PLN through the ‘Enterprise Support Fund for Flood-Affected Businesses’ instrument.

Wielichowski disputed public reports suggesting support reached 210 million PLN, clarifying that the company did not receive additional flood relief funds from BGK. He also noted that the company does not issue loans up to 200,000 PLN, suggesting that lawmakers may be targeting the wrong institution or misinterpreting the scope of AGROREG’s activities.

The investigation, which began on August 11, faces potential delays regarding access to sensitive documentation. The company’s legal counsel is reviewing whether individual loan applications containing private financial data and debt information can be shared with parliamentarians, though aggregate data will be provided.
