Agrovouga fair returns to Aveiro with revised 2026 schedule

The Agrovouga agricultural fair will return to the Aveiro Exhibition Park from October 14 to 18, 2026. This edition features a revised five-day schedule focused on agriculture, livestock, forestry, gastronomy, and rural traditions.

Due to sanitary precautions following cases of contagious nodular dermatosis in Spain, bovine animals will not be present at the event. Organizers described this as a “prudent attitude” to prevent the concentration of animals from different farms, even though no outbreaks have been reported in Portugal. Consequently, the equestrian sector will take a more central role in the programming.

Despite the absence of cattle, the fair will highlight indigenous breeds through activities such as the Regional Poultry Contest for Portuguese indigenous breeds and various gastronomic showcases for the Marinhoa breed. The event will also include a colloquium on the Post-2027 Common Agricultural Policy and a musical program featuring various artists.
