Agrupació Coral Flors d’Urgell celebrates 100 years of history

The Agrupació Coral Flors d’Urgell celebrated its centenary with a central event at the Castellserà Sports Pavilion. The milestone, marking 100 years since the group's founding in 1926, included a mass, the inauguration of a commemorative exhibition, and a choral gathering.

During the ceremony, honors were bestowed upon the group's founders, past presidents, and directors. Special recognition was given to 86-year-old Josep Petit, a lifelong member, and to the newly established children's choir. Local officials, including the Mayor of Castellserà, Marcel Pujol, and the President of the Diputació de Lleida, Joan Talarn, praised the choir for preserving the municipality's cultural identity and social fabric.

The centenary celebrations continue through the coming months with various musical performances, including a Christmas concert and a special show by the Coral Maristes Montserrat.
