Agrupación Musical de O Rosal returns home after historic World Music Contest success

The Agrupación Musical de O Rosal is returning to its home stage following a historic performance at the World Music Contest in Kerkrade, Netherlands. During its debut at the competition, the ensemble earned a gold medal with distinction, scoring 95 out of 100 points. The group also secured fourth place in the Concert Division, the highest category of the event, competing against 12 bands in a contest that included 252 participants from 31 countries.

To celebrate this achievement and the group’s 40th anniversary, a homecoming concert will be held on August 22 at 21:00 in the Praza do Calvario as part of the Festival Músicos Xoves. The performance will feature the Banda de Música de Catoira. The event will also include a tribute organized by the O Rosal Council and local residents to recognize the group’s international success.
