AgSUS announces recruitment for indigenous health in Alto Rio Negro

The Agência Brasileira de Apoio à Gestão do SUS (AgSUS) has launched a simplified selection process to hire 28 professionals for indigenous health services in the Alto Rio Negro region, located in northwest Amazonas. The vacancies cover various education levels, including higher education, technical, middle, and fundamental levels, for immediate placement as well as the formation of a reserve list.

Positions include biologists, civil engineers, doctors, nurses, and environmental health supervisors, with salaries ranging from R$ 7,060 to R$ 12,903. Technical roles such as nursing and electrical technicians are also available, alongside fundamental level positions like endemics combat agents, carpenters, and masons. The selection process, requested by the Ministry of Health’s Indigenous Health Secretariat (Sesai), prioritizes indigenous candidates and values experience in the Unified Health System (SUS) and intercultural contexts. The recruitment process includes quotas for Black and mixed-race individuals (25%), indigenous people (3%), quilombolas (2%), and people with disabilities (5%). Applications are open from September 23 to 27.
