Agua Negra Pass: Snow removal underway on Route 150

Vialidad Nacional is conducting snow removal operations on National Route 150 to reopen the Agua Negra International Pass. Specialized teams from the San Juan 9th District, working with contractor VIALCAT, have reached kilometer 358, approximately three kilometers from the tunnel entrance.

Heavy machinery, including motor graders, bulldozers, front loaders, and backhoes, is being deployed to clear large snow blocks and clean the lanes. The work plan aims to consolidate cleaning near the tunnel before extending operations to higher altitudes along the international border. Authorities advise travelers to consult official channels for real-time updates on road conditions due to fluctuating mountain weather.
