Chile hosts SME Week 2026 with AI training and regional support
Chile is observing the 2026 SME Week, a series of regional initiatives aimed at strengthening the small and medium enterprise ecosystem through training, financing, and technological integration.
Key activities include a nationwide Sercotec training program on artificial intelligence, which reached over 2,000 entrepreneurs via 62 business development centers. In Valparaíso, ProChile and INACAP hosted sessions on internationalization and AI for export processes, while Arica and Parinacota held a summit to connect entrepreneurs with public services like Corfo and Sernatur.
Regional efforts also focus on specific sectors: CONAF is promoting sustainable entrepreneurship through the use of productive plant species in Arica, and in Los Lagos, workshops were held to formalize the firewood commercialization chain. Additionally, in the Maule region, local businesses highlighted the impact of Corfo's support in scaling technological and food production ventures.
