Aguas Santafesinas expands infrastructure and manages service transitions

Aguas Santafesinas S.A. (ASSA) is undergoing significant operational changes and infrastructure upgrades in the Santa Fe province. In Rosario, the company is investing approximately $1.075 billion pesos to modernize the province's largest water treatment plant. These works include rehabilitating filters, replacing 60-year-old pipes, valves, and equipment to ensure service reliability for over one million residents in Rosario, Funes, and Villa Gobernador Gálvez.

Simultaneously, the transition of water and sewage services to ASSA has triggered political scrutiny in Santo Tomé. The municipal council has approved a formal request for information following the start of management transfers. Councilwoman Giselle Miravete has called for transparency regarding a reported debt exceeding 6,000 million pesos owed to the provincial company. The inquiry seeks details on the destination of previously collected water rates, the transition timeline, and the potential tariff costs for local users.
