Aguascalientes and Coahuila Host Major Horse Parades on Aug 8, 2026

On Saturday, August 8, 2026, two major horse‑riding parades took place in Mexico. In Aguascalientes, the Feria Internacional del Caballo featured a traditional cabalgata that started at La Catrina on Isla San Marcos and ended at the Lienzo Charro El Sabinal, with free participation for riders and the public. The event, promoted by the state’s Rural Development Secretary Isidoro Armendáriz, aimed to showcase the region’s equestrian heritage and boost tourism during the fair’s August 7‑16 schedule.

In the neighboring state of Coahuila, Sabinas held its 17th Cabalgata del Campesino, beginning at Rancho San José and concluding at Rancho Tres Potrancas. Organized by local families and the municipal committee, the parade honored former mayor Temo Rodríguez and highlighted rural traditions. Organizers noted the celebration’s positive impact on the local economy, drawing visitors from surrounding municipalities and generating activity for shops, restaurants, and hotels.
