Aguascalientes athletes secure numerous medals in 2026 competitions

Athletes from Aguascalientes have demonstrated significant growth in high-level competitions throughout 2026, contributing numerous medals to Mexico's national delegations.

During the Santo Domingo 2026 Central American and Caribbean Games, representatives from Aguascalientes secured 11 medals. Notable achievements include gold medals for Yael Marmolejo in mixed team modern pentathlon and Dalia Moreno in the 3km open water swimming sprint. Other medalists include Rodrigo González in archery, Carlos Monsivais in speed skating, Ridley Malo in track cycling, and Adair Gutiérrez Prieto in mountain bike cross-country.

In addition to international success, the state's athletes earned 150 medals at the National Olympics, reflecting a trend of increased participation and performance in elite sporting scenarios.
