Aguascalientes begins construction of Animal-Assisted Therapy Center

Governor Tere Jiménez and Aurora Jiménez Esquivel, president of the DIF Estatal, have broken ground on a new Animal-Assisted Therapy Center located at Isla San Marcos in Aguascalientes. The facility is designed to be a national reference for its comprehensive care model.

The center will utilize equine and canine therapies to support children and adolescents with conditions such as Down syndrome, autism, and ADHD. By providing specialized infrastructure designed for accessibility and safety, the project aims to expand the capacity of the DIF Estatal and reduce waiting times for families seeking rehabilitation services.
