Aguascalientes Delegation Visits San José, Uruguay for Gastronomy‑Tourism Cooperation

A delegation from the Mexican state of Aguascalientes visited San José, Uruguay, as part of the "Saberes que conectan" project, which links production, tourism and innovation. The officials met with San José mayor Ana María Bentaberri, who highlighted the department’s entrepreneurial spirit and its inclusion of international relations in the five‑year budget. The program, financed by the Uruguay‑Mexico Joint Fund, aims to promote sustainable development of traditional gastronomy and productive tourism in Aguascalientes and the Uruguayan departments of Canelones, Florida and San José. Participants included Mariana Delgado, coordinator of International Relations and Cooperation, José Francisco González of the Mexican Embassy, and Anahí Marín, subsecretary for micro, small and medium enterprises in Aguascalientes. The agenda featured visits to dairy, artisanal and tourism enterprises in Mal Abrigo, Ecilda Paullier, Bañado and San José de Mayo.
