Aguascalientes to Host International Horse Fair 2026
The Feria Internacional del Caballo will be held in Aguascalientes from 7 to 16 August 2026 on the Isla San Marcos. The event will feature more than 1,500 horses and over 500 riders from Mexico and ten foreign countries, including the United States, Australia, Wales, England, Canada, Argentina, Chile and Spain.
Around 170 activities are planned, most of them free, such as charreadas, competitions, exhibitions, clinics, rodeo, and medieval‑themed shows. Three equestrian tracks and the Arena San Marcos will operate simultaneously, and a commercial zone, gastronomy area, games, the Hecho en Aguascalientes pavilion, an agro‑food expo and a didactic farm are also included.
State tourism secretary Mauricio González López and Governor Tere Jiménez expect 50,000‑80,000 visitors, with an estimated economic impact of 150 million Mexican pesos. The fair is promoted as the third pillar of economic development after the Feria Nacional de San Marcos and the Festival Cultural de las Calaveras.
