Aguascalientes to host free Rodeo Country Fest and International Horse Fair in August 2026

The state of Aguascalientes will hold two major free equestrian events in August 2026 at the Isla San Marcos venue. On August 29, the inaugural Rodeo Country Fest will feature four competitions – pair lasso, barrel racing, a children's goat‑riding exhibition, and bull riding – organized by Vaqueros Hidrocálidos and the state tourism bureau.

Earlier in the month, from August 7 to 16, the Feria Internacional del Caballo will run a comprehensive program of clinics, breed exhibitions, and rodeo contests, including natural horsemanship workshops, breed shows, quarter‑mile races, and a professional rodeo finale. General admission to both events is free, aiming to promote the region’s rodeo and horse‑culture traditions.
