Portugal hosts various regional cultural and agricultural festivals

Various regional festivals and agricultural events are scheduled across Portugal, focusing on local traditions, gastronomy, and sustainability.

In Faro, the 11th edition of Festival F will feature musical acts such as Bárbara Tinoco and Moonspell, alongside fado performances. In Santarém, the Raízes Vivas Festival aims to celebrate Ribatejo culture and rurality, featuring over 120 participants and 18 guest chefs.

Agricultural-themed events include the FRIMOR National Onion Fair in Rio Maior, celebrating its 304th year, and the Terra26 event in Golegã, which focuses on regenerative agriculture and soil health. Other local celebrations include the “Aldeia em Festa” in Aguiar de Sousa, featuring giant vegetable competitions, the 23rd Dried Fruit Fair in Alcantarilha, and the religious and cultural festivities in Odeleite.

Additionally, Sousel hosted the 43rd International Folklore Festival, showcasing cultural exchanges between groups from Georgia, Guinea-Bissau, and Portugal.
