AGUISSA establishes agricultural trader network in Guinea

In Kankan, Guinea, the NGO AGUISSA has organized the Constitutive General Assembly of the Network of Agricultural Product Traders. This initiative is part of the AgriFARM project, which aims to support rural communities in Upper and Middle Guinea by strengthening agricultural production, market access, and the professionalization of value chain actors.

Supported by the Government of Guinea, the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), the OPEC Fund for International Development, and the Arab Bank for Economic Development in Africa (BADEA), the project seeks to structure traders to facilitate exchanges and improve the valuation of family farm productions. The newly established network includes a bureau and various commissions to provide a formal framework for collaboration and addressing industry challenges.
