Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono reviews infrastructure and solar energy projects
Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono, the Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development, has launched several initiatives to improve regional infrastructure and clean energy access in Indonesia.
In Jakarta Selatan, the Minister inaugurated the PELITA (Solar Power Environmental Lighting) program. This initiative utilizes solar-powered lamps that absorb sunlight during the day to provide automatic lighting at night. The program, supported by the Kuda Biru Project, has expanded from a single location in West Jakarta to 25 sites across Jakarta, Kepulauan Seribu, Bogor, Bekasi, Depok, and South Tangerang to enhance public safety and promote clean energy.
Additionally, the Minister inspected the preparations for the Bulak Kapal Flyover project in Bekasi. The construction is scheduled to begin on November 15, 2026. The flyover is intended to address urgent local needs by reducing traffic congestion and preventing accidents involving trains in the high-mobility area. The central government will work alongside the Bekasi City Government to oversee the development to ensure it supports local economic productivity and commuter safety.
