Agustiar Sabran urges UMPR graduates to contribute to society

Central Kalimantan Governor Agustiar Sabran attended the graduation ceremony for 668 students at Universitas Muhammadiyah Palangkaraya (UMPR) in Palangka Raya. The graduates included students from postgraduate, undergraduate, and diploma programs.

During the event, Sabran expressed confidence in UMPR’s ability to compete with larger universities, noting that educational quality depends heavily on a student’s dedication and intention to learn rather than just the institution's reputation. He shared that he is currently pursuing a Master of Public Administration at the university himself.

Sabran urged the graduates to apply their knowledge to benefit society and support regional development. He emphasized the importance of maintaining good character, wisdom, and resilience when facing social dynamics and professional challenges.
