Agustín de Grandes Pascual, former mayor of Guadalajara, dies

Agustín de Grandes Pascual, a prominent figure in the political and business history of Guadalajara, Spain, has passed away. He served as the mayor of Guadalajara between 1977 and 1979 during Spain's Transition period and played an active role in the pre-autonomous era and the constitution of the autonomous community.

In addition to his political service, de Grandes was a significant figure in the regional business sector. He served as the president of CEOE-CEPYME Guadalajara for 17 years, from 2002 to 2019, and was the president of the CEEI Guadalajara Foundation between 2010 and 2019. He was notably involved in the automotive sector.
