Agustín Álvarez Wallace joins Sporting Cristal

Uruguayan midfielder Agustín Álvarez Wallace has been officially presented as the new player for Sporting Cristal. On loan from Montevideo City Torque, the player is contracted with the club until December 2026.

During his presentation, Álvarez Wallace expressed his motivation to compete for the Torneo Clausura. He described himself as an organized and creative player who is also prepared for physical play. He noted that he is currently undergoing an adaptation process to the city and the team following a previous injury.

Regarding his arrival in Peru, the midfielder revealed that he had previously been in contact with Alianza Lima. However, those negotiations did not materialize due to “external issues.” When the opportunity with Sporting Cristal arose, he decided to join the club immediately, noting that the project felt different.
