AHEAD opens Reading facility as European AI infrastructure hub

AHEAD has launched a new Foundry facility in Reading, United Kingdom, to serve as its European production center. The site is designed to support the design, integration, configuration, testing, and deployment of artificial intelligence (AI), high-performance computing (HPC), and edge infrastructure.

By establishing a local production hub, the company aims to address rising demand for AI infrastructure while mitigating supply chain pressures and regional deployment complexities. The facility will handle complete rack solutions and hardware, allowing teams to assemble and validate systems in a controlled environment before they are sent to customer locations. This model is intended to reduce implementation risks and accelerate the time between construction and operational use for multinational clients.

The opening follows AHEAD’s recent acquisition of the Dutch company Prolimax and the appointment of Paul Allen as Executive Vice President of Sales, EMEA. The company’s Hatch lifecycle management platform will be used at the site to provide customers with visibility into assets, builds, and shipments across multiple locations.
