Şahin Biba Highlights Bursa’s Industrial Strength and Historic Neighborhood Revitalization

Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Deputy Mayor Şahin Biba told members of the Idealist Sanayici ve İş İnsanları Derneği (İSİAD) that the city’s real power lies in its industrialists and businesspeople, noting Bursa’s contributions to Turkey’s economy across automotive, textile, agriculture and technology sectors. He praised the new association’s “idealist” outlook and stressed the importance of cooperation between the municipality, the private sector and civil society for the city’s economic and social development.

Biba also met with muhtars and residents of fifteen historic neighbourhoods in the Osmangazi district, outlining plans to improve infrastructure, preserve cultural heritage and address local issues. He said field surveys launched at the start of his term would guide projects that give the historic areas “a breath of fresh air,” while emphasizing continued on‑site engagement with citizens.
