Şahinbey mayor fines illegal dumpers after citizen photos reveal waste

A resident photographed the illegal dumping of rubble and construction waste on a vacant lot in Geylani Mahallesi, Şahinbey district, and sent the images to the Şahinbey Municipality Zabıta Directorate. The municipal police used the photos and the accompanying tip to quickly identify the individual responsible and applied an administrative fine under relevant regulations.

Mayor Mehmet Tahmazoğlu thanked the citizen for the cooperation, highlighted the community’s role in protecting the environment, and affirmed that inspections will continue uninterrupted to prevent further pollution of public spaces.
