Ahlatcı Holding companies launch share buybacks on Borsa İstanbul

Ahlatcı Holding companies Enerya Enerji and Ahlatcı Doğalgaz have initiated significant share buyback programs amid a period of liquidity issues and heavy selling pressure on Borsa İstanbul.

Enerya Enerji launched a new buyback program on September 17, 2026, with a maximum limit of 180 million shares and a total budget of 2 billion TL. Between September 17 and 21, the company repurchased approximately 20.9 million shares for about 260 million TL. This brings the company's total holdings to 389,425,576 shares, representing 4.327% of its capital.

Similarly, Ahlatcı Doğalgaz conducted buybacks between September 17 and 21, purchasing 1,637,343 shares for approximately 65.2 million TL at a weighted average price of 39.82 TL.

These strategic moves occurred while the BIST 100 and BIST 30 indices experienced declines of 11.2% and 4.5%, respectively, over a 25-day period due to fund liquidations. Despite the market downturn, Enerya Enerji saw a 51.5% return, and Ahlatcı Doğalgaz rose by 33.3% during this period.
