Ahlhorn industrial area: Two trucks destroyed in early morning fire

In the early morning hours, a major fire broke out in the Ahlhorn industrial area, involving two heavy goods vehicles. The blaze consumed a complete truck combination (tractor and trailer) as well as an additional tractor parked nearby.

Emergency responders from the Ahlhorn local fire department, Sage, and Emstek were deployed, totaling 62 personnel. The operation was complicated by extreme heat, which caused several tires to burst; in one instance, a tire was thrown from a rim and landed approximately 30 meters away, posing a danger to firefighters working under breathing apparatus.

Firefighters utilized water jets and extinguishing foam to control the flames. After approximately one hour, the fire was extinguished, and crews began follow-up work to ensure the safety of a nearby trailer that had been heavily affected by the heat.
