Ahmad Dedi barred from traveling following corruption allegations
The Directorate General of Immigration has confirmed a travel ban for Ahmad Dedi, also known as Dedi Congor, following a request from the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK). Dedi, a former official at the Directorate General of Customs and Excise, has been named a suspect in connection with alleged corruption within the agency during the 2025 to 2026 period.
The travel ban was implemented on October 23, 2026, and is scheduled to remain in effect until April 23, 2027. Dedi is reportedly facing two separate suspect statuses involving investigations by both the KPK and the National Police. One case involves alleged bribery related to import processing within the Customs and Excise environment.
In previous court proceedings, Dedi was mentioned in relation to a ruling involving cargo company executives, with allegations suggesting he received 30 billion IDR. His legal counsel has denied these claims. Dedi has also expressed personal dissatisfaction regarding the use of the nickname 'Dedi Congor' in official legal contexts.
