Ahmad Muzani inaugurates renovated MPR Mess and visits PT Pindad

Ahmad Muzani, Chairman of the People's Consultative Assembly (MPR RI), has completed a series of official visits to Bandung, West Java, focusing on institutional facilities and national defense.

Muzani inaugurated the renovated MPR RI Mess on Jalan Diponegoro. The building, a designated cultural heritage site, had previously suffered damage from fire and riots. The restoration process was managed by the Ministry of Public Works to ensure that materials and methods adhered to the specific requirements for preserving historical structures. Muzani noted that the West Java provincial government had previously offered support for the renovation efforts.

Following the inauguration, Muzani visited PT Pindad to inspect the state-owned defense company's readiness in supporting national security. During his visit, he emphasized the necessity of strengthening the domestic defense industry to reduce Indonesia's reliance on foreign weaponry. He stated that ensuring the sovereignty of the Republic of Indonesia is a key responsibility of the MPR, and he encouraged PT Pindad to continue advancing its production of military equipment.
