Ahmad Zahid Hamidi calls for protection of Makkah and Madinah

Malaysian Deputy Prime Minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi has called for Islamic unity to protect the sanctity of Makkah and Madinah. He emphasized that the two holy cities must be shielded from any political conflicts, military actions, or threats that could endanger the safety of pilgrims and the public.

Zahid expressed strong condemnation of any actions that might compromise the security of Hajj and Umrah travelers or defile the holy sites. He reaffirmed Malaysia’s respect for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, noting the long-standing brotherhood between the two nations.

Additionally, Zahid offered prayers for the health and well-being of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, wishing for continued peace, stability, and prosperity for the Saudi people and the protection of the Two Holy Mosques.
