Ahmad Zahid Hamidi visits Jakarta to discuss Indonesia-Malaysia relations

Malaysian Deputy Prime Minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi visited Menara 165 in Jakarta to meet with Ary Ginanjar Agustian, founder of ESQ Corp and Universitas Ary Ginanjar. The meeting focused on strengthening bilateral ties between Indonesia and Malaysia through cultural, spiritual, and human resource development.

Ary Ginanjar introduced the concept of ‘spiritual diplomacy,’ emphasizing that brotherhood, culture, and humanity serve as essential foundations for maintaining relations beyond formal politics and economics. The discussion highlighted potential collaborations in the halal industry and human resource development.

Ary noted that his personal relationship with Ahmad Zahid, which spans over two decades, has acted as a bridge during periods of diplomatic tension, such as the Ambalat dispute. Additionally, the network of approximately 2.5 million ESQ alumni in both countries is viewed as a significant cultural and spiritual link between the two nations.
